Sue Ellen Allen is an author, speaker and activist who experienced the ultimate humiliation, prison and disgrace. Despite overwhelming odds, she found her purpose there.
As a former inmate, she knows the challenges of life after prison. She is the founder and CEO of REinventing REentry, a 501c3 organization, dedicated to educating and reshaping our society’s perception of former inmates so they may successfully reintegrate and be given a fair chance for employment, housing, education and entrepreneurial opportunities.
In 2016 She Ellen was recognized three times by the White House for her work in the arena of criminal justice reform, most significantly as a guest of the First Lady in her box at the State of the Union address.
